Description: A true driver for a preservationist that wants to experience the open road. The car was repainted one year ago. Key restoration and repair include: new exhaust system, new top, half tonneau, new fuel tank, new fuel pump, oil radiator, battery, alternator, water pump, upholstery (interior & trunk)... The car has been serviced by the Quality Coaches in Minneapolis...best around!! A couple of updates based on people that have seen this listing. First, regarding the exhaust system...yes, the exhaust system has been replaced by Quality Coaches in south Minneapolis, MN. with factory equivalent parts. No leakage at all. Second, the master and slave hydraulic components for the transmission were recently replaced and the transmission works smoothly in all aspects. Third, a question was asked regarding body rust...when the car was repainted a couple of years ago, it was professionally taken down to bare metal...no rust was encountered...at all. The car was previously owned and was in the Denver, CO area for 27 years. It had experienced hail and needed a full, professional repainting. Prior to being in Colorado, I was unable to determine it's location from it's shipment to the US in July of 1969. Based on research I've done...I have confirmed that all the numbers match so the car is authentic. The original paint was British blue...and since I purchased it was already painted red. However, when I had it fully painted, the professional painter researched the correct British red and today it correctly matches the factory British red. One other point...the overdrive system works perfectly and I have taken the car on 300 mile trips several times since I've owned it. Sometimes I take open two-lane roads but often I go on the interstate and with the overdrive, travel comfortably at interstate speeds (70 to 80 mph). Oh, the car came with a functioning radio and cassette tape player...I've never opted to get the radio connected to the antennae but I love listening to the tape player...primarily playing 60s tunes. If you have any further questions...please ask for specifics regarding the above description... Please also read up on the MGC prior to asking questions.
