Description: 1924-S VF/XF Standing Liberty Quarter - Better DateMY COMMENTS: THE GOOD NEWS: Nice Looking Better Date Mid-Grade Coin, This coin has the impression of the letter E next to the Knee. This is a result of a die clash when the dies come together in the press with no coin blank in the dies. This leaves some of the reverse design into the obverse die. In this case it's the "E" from E Pluribus Unum. Better than many VF coins, but not quite a full XF grade. Decent Color & Eye Appeal, Full Date, Nice Mint Mark, & Nice Rims. Nice Shield Details. Nice detail in the Eagle. The date on these coins often wears away fast because it's a raised up part of the design without much protection against wear. As you can see from the picture, the date on this coin is still very nice. Please bid with confidence because I stand behind what I sell. THE BAD NEWS: Not really bad, but I want to point out a hit on the coin at the obverse right. Sometimes things like this can be expected because these coins were used as real money long ago. Most coins have flaws, it's just a matter of what is acceptable for the grade. Also Maybe Slightly Lightly Cleaned long ago. I don't really see cleaning hairlines but the color tone of the coin is not quite correct for a VF grade. Still a pleasing coin. TERMS: UNITED STATES BIDDERS ONLY. YOUR SATISFACTION IS A MUST !!
