Description: Elgin pocketwatch with serial number 7717841 is a 6 size, 15 jewel, grade 132, model 2 pendant set movement that dates to about 1899. Watch movement runs pretty well but likely needs a proper cleaning and servicing for accurate time keeping. Movement comes in an embossed full hunter case marked Fahys 14K, but I believe this is a gold filled case. Case in personalized on front with initials in the cartouche, and inside back cover with a dedication. The watch case is pretty clean. There are a couple of faint dents, but spring and latch work well. Fancy dial is quite lovely and in excellent condition. See photos for more details. Other similar watch cases have sold recently and they all weighed about 34+ grams.
