Millais was a keen hunter, and especially reputable for his depictions of game birds.A beautiful and clean copy of his work.A folio.Contains the bookplate of Allan Heywood Bright (1862-1941), a British Liberal politician once held as being the leading member of the Liberal party in Liverpool.With a profuse number of woodcut and autotype illustrations, as well as fifteen coloured plates. Collated, complete. CONDITION In the publisher's original half straight grain morocco binding. Externally generally smart, with some rubbing resulting in slight loss to the leather, in particular to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally generally firmly bound with hinges strained but firm, pages are bright and clean.
