1/700 IJN Destroyer Hatsuharu 1941 Super Detail Aoshima #50132 Shrink Wrap MISB

Description: I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. The Hatsuharu was the lead ship in a six-ship class of Destroyers that were lighter than previous DD classes but had stability problems which were addressed with post-launch modifications. Completed in the mid-1930s, her long service life was ended by an air raid in Manila Bay in November 1944. This kit shows the IJN Hatsuharu in her 1941 configuration with the Limited Edition bonus of a Super Detail set from Aoshima. I could not find any Super Detail versions of this kit listed on eBay (rare Limited Edition), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this kit very quickly. Here is what I have found online about this very hard-to-find model: The Aoshima website (aoshima-bk.co.jp) only has a page for the non-Super Detail version of this kit. I assume since the SD version was a Limited Edition, it is no longer in production. It also shows the box art but has no useful information about the kit. Scalemates.com shows that this is a new tooling from 2011 that is the basis of seven releases. They show links to some aftermarket for the Hatsuharu-class destroyers, but they don’t provide any interesting tidbits about the kit. This kit is in a sturdy box about 11.5” x 4.5” x 1.5”. As you can see from the pictures, the kit is in mint condition and still in the original shrink wrap, so it is factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains highly detailed parts and decals to make a waterline hull model of this IJN Destroyer with a fantastic fret of super detail PE parts.
