Description: Hopniss tubers. I will be shipping a pack of 10 small tubers about 1 in in diameter. Freshly harvested this October/November from North Florida. The cultivar is a LSU released variety I started growing about 4 years ago. Unfortunately, I am unsure which variety it is. I find the tubers to be too bitter to eat, but it may be dependent on environmental growing conditions, or personal taste. Regardless, it makes a beautiful perennial legumes with pretty, coral-like flowers in late summer. Store tubers in the fridge with the packing medium they come with and plant in spring, after last frost, or plant whenever in climates with mild winters.
